Teaching Philosophy
My purpose in life has always been to support others in achieving their goals. Having taught 6th grade up to college level courses, I have continuously honed my craft by practicing student-centered instruction, pursuing degrees in composition, communication studies, and mental health.

After a decade therapy, I am convinced that creating an environment where people feel safe, valued, and empowered is paramount to success. Whether it's demonstrating how AI technology can enhance my coworkers' personal and professional lives, creating an encouraging space for students to practice healthy communication skills, or helping others cope with life's daily stresses, I strive, above all else, to foster authentic human connection.

In Fall 2024, I will be offering Lone Star College's first faculty and staff GenAI Certification program (GAINS), aimed at increasing generative AI proficiency for all. I have also contracted with public and private schools to enhance their AI capabilities and currently work with a Fortune 10 technology company on developing and implementing large language models.
My ultimate goal is to meet each person where they are with empathy and compassion.
